Your body is filled with trillions of tiny organisms called microbes that are natural and suppose to be in your body. These organisms in your body make up your microbiome. Your Brain Health
What is some of the heaviest communication traffic in your body? Its between your gut and brain. There are millions of nerve cells connecting you brain and gut doing their best to maintain proper bodily functions. An imbalance in gut microbiome may lead to excessive stress, depression, and anxiety. Studies have found that people with less diverse microbiomes are more susceptible to Alzheimers’s disease. Other Issues of the Body Associated with Microbiome
Autoimmune diseases that are associated with certain parts of your body. For example – fibromyalgia, lupus, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and type 1 diabetes.

Your microbiome is as unique as your fingerprint. In a vaginal birth babies get coated with their mother’s microbiome. In a C-section this of course dose no happen and they seem more likely to be susceptible to allergies.
Microbiome is relatively a new area of medicine and scientists are researching ways to improve microbiome to help avoid certain diseases and respond to treatments better.
Some antibiotics can change your microbiome in a negative manner.
Research is being conducted to harness the power of microbiome in the treatment of cancer. Microbiome medicines and being developed to be given alongside cancer treatments.
Further research in microbiome will certainly lead to positive advancement in medicine that will be good for all of us.
